Parking: PLEASE NOTE - the parking lot / spots surrounding the Avera Downtown building are for employees only. Although various spots may be open, there is a limited amount of visitor spots, so we recommend attendees of the PMI Sioux Empire chapter utilize the Sioux Falls public parking ramp right next to the bus depot. Simply press the button upon entering the ramp to receive a timed ticket that needs to be used when exiting. During our meeting, you will be provide a discounted (free) parking voucher to use when paying/exiting the ramp. Or you may park along the street and feed the meter (a parking voucher will not be provided for this option).
Additional Information about our speaker:
Steve Tappe, M.T.S. is the Vice President of Mission for the Avera Medical Group. Steve has a B.A. in philosophy from Carroll College in Helena, MT, and has a Master of Theological Studies degree in systematic theology from Weston Jesuit School of Theology (now the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry) in Cambridge, MA. After earning his Master’s degree, Steve taught high school theology and literature for three years. For 12 years he worked in wildland firefighting for the state of Montana as a supervisor and incident commander. In this role he led multiple interagency incident command teams and conducted annual training for agency and volunteer personnel. Since 2014 he has been Vice President of Mission for the Avera Medical Group where he is responsible for mission and values integration, formation and ethics throughout the medical group’s 200 clinics. He is a member of the Physician Leader Forum steering committee for the Catholic Health Association of the US.
